WASHINGTON, DC | Discussion on Russia's Peacetime Demographic Crisis

On August 12, NBR and Hudson Institute will host a discussion with Nicholas Eberstadt (AEI)  on the critical implications for Russia's internal stability and future security outlook posed by the country's continuing population challenges. Joining and contributing to the discussion will be S. Enders Wimbush (Hudson Institute) and Fiona Hill (Brookings Institution). Roy Kamphausen (NBR) will serve as moderator. BERKELEY, CA | National Asia Research Program (NARP) West Coast Symposium

On October 14, 2010, NBR, the Wilson Center, and the Asia Foundation will hold the NARP West Coast Symposium at the University of California-Berkeley's Institute of East Asian Studies. This one-day conference will build on the discussions from the June 2010 Asia Policy Assembly. Learn More


JAKARTA, INDONESIA | 2011 Pacific Energy Summit

The Future of Natural Gas in the Asia-Pacific will be the theme of the 2011 Pacific Energy Summit to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on February 21-23, 2011. NEW CONFERENCE VOLUME

2009 PLA Conference Volume

The PLA at Home and Abroad: Assessing the Operational Capabilities of China's Military was the theme of the 20th annual People's Liberation Army (PLA) Conference convened in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on September 25–27, 2009, by NBR, the Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College, and the George H.W. HIGHLIGHTED PUBLICATION

Marking the Fifth Anniversary of the U.S.-China Working Group 

Representatives Rick Larsen (D-WA) and Mark Kirk (R-IL) founded the U.S. China Working Group in June of 2005. Larsen and Kirk co-authored the December 2005 NBR Analysis Congress and the Updating of the U.S.-China Relationship in which they explored the role that the United States Congress can play in helping to foster mutual understanding between the respective governments and people of China and the United States. To mark the fifth anniversary of the founding of the U.S.-China Working Group, NBR is is making this issue of the NBR Analysis free to download until August 31, 2010. Download Now

The 2010 Pacific Health Summit
