On August 12, NBR and Hudson Institute will host a discussion with
Nicholas Eberstadt (AEI) on the critical implications for Russia's internal stability and future security outlook posed by the country's continuing population challenges. Joining and contributing to the discussion will be S. Enders Wimbush (Hudson Institute)

NEW CONFERENCE VOLUME
2009 PLA Conference Volume
The PLA at Home and Abroad: Assessing the Operational Capabilities of China's Military
was the theme of the 20th annual People's Liberation Army (PLA) Conference
convened in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on September 25–27, 2009, by NBR, the
Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College, and the George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.

Marking the Fifth Anniversary of the U.S.-China Working Group
Representatives Rick Larsen (D-WA) and Mark Kirk (R-IL)
founded the U.S. China Working Group in June of 2005. Larsen and Kirk co-authored the December 2005
