NARP International Call for Papers
NBR and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars announce an international call for paper proposals on subjects that fall within the National Asia Research Program (NARP) research agenda. Experts whose papers are chosen will be invited to present their research at the NARP Asia Policy Assembly on June 17-18, 2010, in Washington D.C. Proposals must be received by March 31, 2010, for consideration.

Maternal and Newborn Health Policy Lab
NBR's Center for Health and Aging, the secretariat for the Pacific Health Summit, recently launched a
Maternal and Newborn Health Policy Lab and a
Maternal and Newborn Health Resource Page on the Pacific Health Summit website. The MNH Policy Lab and Resource Page provide an overview of the 2010 Summit, related events, and topical resources including policy guidelines, advocacy resources, and private sector engagement on the maternal and newborn health theme.

2009 Pacific Energy Summit Report
The inaugural Pacific Energy Summit convened in Tokyo, Japan, on November 3-5, 2009, with the theme "Energy Security and Economic Growth in the Asia-Pacific: Innovations, markets, and smart policies for a low-carbon future." The Summit brought together leaders in science, policy, and industry to discuss the challenges facing economies in Asia and the Pacific as they pursue energy security and economic growth in a carbon-constrained future. The Summit Report outlines the key themes and findings that emerged over two days of discussion and dialogue.
